Welcome to Low Nest Farm Guest Accommodation, Lake district, Cumbria.
Welcome to Low Nest Farm
About us: Alison’s grandparents Matt and Maggie Pepper started offering guest accommodation in 1922 passing the farm and business to her parents, Carl and Elsie in 1952. Elsie reluctantly retired from the business at the age of 83 due to ill health. The farm and B&B have now passed to the third and fourth generation who are continuing the family tradition of providing the highest standards of hospitality in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Your current proprietors are Alison and John True. John worked for 22 years as a design engineer for Rolls Royce in Derby and Alison worked as a nurse for 28 years prior to their ‘retiring’ to the Lake District. We purchased the existing B&B premises in 2007 and extended this into the adjoining barns during 2008 and 2011 investing our entire life savings in the business we both believe in.
As we are dog owners ourselves it seems only natural that we should warmly welcome guest dogs into our home.
The canine ‘family’ now consists of 3 Weimaraners, Billie, Lucy & Riley. We also have an African Grey Parrott named Jasper.
From 2012 Alisons sister Angela will be running the B&B business for us in the original guest house while we concentrate on managing the Studios we developed in 2011 and of course enjoying this wonderful place that we live.
